The Company

Grape Escapes run a number of fantastic Wine Tasting Weekends in France. In fact, we run nearly 40 a year to the Champagne region alone. As such, a great gift is a voucher for one of our public Grape Escapes Tours. An example of this would be our Prestige Champagne Weekend. This continues to be the most popular tour that we operate and is a lunchpin of our program in Champagne. This tour combines the best of the larger and smaller Champagne Houses with the opportunity to enjoy a great 4 course lunch accompanied by some fine wines, as detailed below.

Day 1

Drive down to Reims in France, just 2 1/2 hours from Calais. You can cross the channel with either a ferry or Eurotunnel. Or indeed travel by Eurostar if preferred.
Once in Reims, check into your hotel for two nights with breakfast (various 3* and 4* hotels are available).

Day 2

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel in a luxury mini coach, with a loacl English speaking tour guide for your day's wine tour, including:
A visit to a medium sized producer of Grand Cru Champagnes for a full tour of the Champagne making process from vine to bottle + at least 3 tastings
A goumet 4 course lunch at a top local restaurant including accompanying Champagne and wines.
A visit to a smaller producer in a second Champagne village with at least 3 tastings.
A visit to a larger prestigious Champagne House (e.g. Moet et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Pommery etc.) including a tour of their cellars and two tastings.

Day 3

After breakfast, your day is free to make your way home.
